GOD'S CONSTRUCTION ZONE!

A concept currently "under construction". We ask for your input,
suggestions and any ideas you have to develop this curriculum further.
The series is built around the theme of us being UNDER CONSTRUCTION by God:
- The need for the right plan or blueprint
- Using the right building materials
- Building according to plan
- Laying the proper foundation
- Building something that will last
- Contruction methods and skills
As a basis, you will need construction worker hard-hats, very large lego building
blocks (if you can't get lego then use different colored cardboard boxes) with various
subject written on them. Have one large one as the cornertsone with JESUS written on
it. Subjects would include: prayer, read bible, go to church, school etc.
Lesson One:
Having the right plan. The need to have a blue-print. God has a plan
for you. Before you draw the plan you must have a picture in your mind of the
finished product - learn toi dream. Story of Jacob.
Lesson Two:
Having the right materials. Getting the materials you need - deciding what's
right and what's not. Story of Nehemiah.
Lesson Three:
You must build according to the plan. You must build from the bottom up.
Step by step. Living the Christian life. Following God's plan for your
life. Story of Solomon.
Lesson Four:
You must lay the right foundation. Jesus is the cornerstone. Parable
of the house built on sand or rock.
Lesson Five:
Build for the future, build something that will last. Following God's plan for
your life. Make a stand for Jesus. Story of Daniel.
Lesson Six:
You need the right skills and methods of building for the job. Learning how to
put your Christianity to work: prayer, bible study etc. Don't be afraid to ask
others. Story of building Tabernacle.
